“I used to lose an evening to one listing: design it, cut the file, write the copy, upload every size. Now the eBay listing goes up while I'm still on my first coffee.”
“The trend list is the bit I didn't know I needed. I stopped designing what I liked and started designing what the numbers said, and my first month of that outsold my whole spring.”
Every design also lands as a transparent PNG and a CMYK print file, ready to drop onto any garment colour. Across the animals, trades, holidays and micro-niches DTF buyers search for.
Most sellers guess. Merchu measures. Its trend engine tracks real search demand for over 70,000 t-shirt subjects, cross-checks its calls against real Etsy bestseller sales, and rebuilds the rankings every week. You design what people are already buying.
Then the part no standalone trend tool can do: click the trend, and Merchu designs it, builds the print files and puts the listing live. Same tab, same minute.
Example rows. In the app: live demand, 12-month graphs, rankings rebuilt weekly.
AI generators give you an image. Mockup tools give you a shirt photo. Stock libraries give you someone else's art. Most DTF sellers end up paying for three of them plus a separate printer: four logins, around £50 a month, and still no print-ready file at the end.

Merchu isn't a startup guessing at print specs. It's built on 1ClickPrint, a DTF operation in Sheffield that prints transfers every day. The CMYK files Merchu makes are the same files our own machines run.

“Lovely soft transfers, noticeably nicer than the other DTF suppliers I'd tried.”
“Sent the artwork one morning and had the finished transfer sheet the next afternoon. Unreal turnaround.”
“My go-to for anything DTF. Fast, helpful, and the print quality is always spot on.”
Your transfer cost is the real rate for the plan you pick. The rest is yours to set, so change the numbers to match how you sell.
Illustrative, not a promise. Fees are Etsy's published UK rates and change; blank prices vary by garment and supplier. Print cost assumes a 28cm by 35cm front print, 2 across a 56cm sheet, and ignores the sheet left over each metre. At this margin, 1 sale a month covers the Starter plan.
The free plan is a real plan: 100 tokens every month, every feature included, full-quality PNG and CMYK exports, no card. Paid plans buy more tokens and a lower print rate, nothing else is held back.

You don't need design vocabulary or drawing skills. Photograph anything with the look you're after and Merchu names the art style, subject, composition and palette, ready to brief your own original design.

Whatever your reference (a t-shirt, a print, an album sleeve), Merchu reads the visual DNA and tells you what to call it, so you don't need to know the term.

Merchu is for DTF t-shirts and sweatshirts on Etsy and eBay. It's not a mug printer, not a poster shop, not a vector logo tool. If you sell DTF garments, you'll feel at home. If you don't, we'd rather tell you up front.
Yes. Every design you create on Merchu is yours to sell, license or modify, with full commercial rights on Etsy, eBay, Shopify and anywhere else you sell. We don't take a cut of your listings.
Merchu's generation pipeline avoids known trademarks, brand marks and copyrighted characters by default. You're still responsible for your own brief (if you ask for a specific brand, that's on you), and marketplaces run their own IP checks on what you list.
Merchu tracks real search demand (the same volume data advertisers use) for over 70,000 t-shirt subjects across the UK and US, and cross-checks trends against sales signals from Etsy's bestseller lists. Rankings rebuild automatically every week, and every trend is vetted before it ships: duplicates merged, one-off fads culled and trademark risks gated out.
Our CMYK TIFFs are colour-accurate for DTF. They're the same files our own printer (1ClickPrint) runs every day. You can order transfers from inside Merchu or download the files and use any DTF printer of your choice.
